Turning the Music Mark's 2020 November conference into a live broadcast as new Coronavirus restrictions come into force.
Here at Titan we are pleased that we have been able to support Music Mark and enable them to manage their event in a new hybrid, COVID controlled way.
It’s not simply a case of taking a conference online. The approach needed is quite different. It does need to be televisual in every aspect otherwise the result may be a glorified video conference call.
We worked together with Music Mark in the successful adaptation of their traditional conference format.
Everything starts with preplanning, preplanning and even more planning! This includes venue visits to ensure compatibility with the virtual links that are necessary and calculations of space required for crew and participants to be safe taking social distancing into account.

Production values have to be higher than ever as a hybrid conference generally requires more equipment and staff than a live event with an audience.
The audience may be in their own homes but the theatre style seating area fills up with even more equipment and socially spaced crew than that of a live event.
Finally the conference has to have personality. In order to engage the audience interaction has to be immediate, real and visible.
Whilst a CEO may be very good in front of a live audience for an AGM, presenting to a camera needs a different approach with a natural, engaging style.
We recommend using a seasoned anchor for your broadcast. When on screen experienced broadcasters significantly enhance and support the key people within the organisation.
We appreciate that many associations, organisations and corporate businesses are anxious about how to continue with their event programme.

Music Mark has used Titan for many years to support the smooth running of our Annual Conference. When it became clear that we would not be able to run it as planned this year, we started a conversation with Jim and his colleagues to reimagine it as a digital event. The advice and support given by Titan was amazing!
We created a great package of options for delegates and, working also with a web designer, have not only run an extremely successful, and professional, live event which delegates were fully engaged with and reported as being excellent in the feedback we have received, but we now have a bank of recorded content which lengthens our conference into a 6-week learning opportunity.
Delegates won’t have missed a single session, and some of the content we are also planning to repurpose as member-only resources and/or for future comms and marketing purposes. We have yet to start planning for 2021, but with Titan’s help we know we will be running a professional event whatever is thrown at us!
