This, as I am sure you can imagine is a difficult one to answer. I always think it’s best for you to ask yourself, ‘How much do I want to spend?”

If you say to me we have £xxx amount to spend on our video, we can tailor accordingly to give you the best production for the budget.

This doesn’t mean you get a lesser quality product e.g. Do we use your premises to film rather than hiring a specific location which would eat into your budget? 

Do we buy in experienced talent to front your video or do you have a competent member of staff who could front your production?

There are other considerations. For instance, is there a need to have your company logo animated or are you happy as it is?

Many of our clients come to us with quite high demands in terms of graphic content and productions which would necessitate being shot over several weeks.

So, in this case after our initial meeting we’ll develop an exclusive concept, designed specifically to meet your company’s needs.

If required, we can deal with everything from auditioning talent and licensing your music track(s), filming, editing, graphic design, voice overs through to encoding your final file uploads.

Is my mobile good enough to film

Yes, but its not as simple as the adverts make out.

We use professional broadcast cameras and associated equipment, see below.

Will we be interviewed during filming

It’s not essential, but we will lead you through this process carefully. If you want your staff to appear in the video, it’s best to decide beforehand who the “talking heads” in front of the camera will be. Confidence is the key, but most importantly relax.

Logos

Most videos contain your company logo. Of course, we’ll help you develop your logo if you want it animated but we’d like any artwork, product images and other useful pictures emailed to us in high resolution so that we can get to work straight away prior to the filming days.

How do we prepare for filming

If you have opted for bespoke filming then we often produce an “audio storyboard” around which we will build the pictures and the film. Then, we’ll make an appointment for the shoot. It’s important that you give your filming areas a spring clean letting staff know we’re coming in to film and make sure that all of your marketing, branding and background are exactly as you want as having to re-shoot sections will add to your overall cost.

What do you need from us

Trust. We are extremely experienced and will provide you with help and assistance at every step. We want to get to understand you and your company. We’ll speak with you to build up a picture of what you offer and what message you’d like to communicate to your audience through the film.

What is my message

It pays to be clear on what you wish to highlight in your video. Maybe you need to promote a particular product or service – or you may wish to showcase the whole company. Whatever you decide we will be on hand to help structure your film and aid you in the most effective ways to get your message across.

How long should my video be

It’s been proven that the most effective videos are two to three minutes long. However your business is unique. It’s important to us that you succeed; therefore, we can adjust to suit you. The length of the video is an important decision. We’ll advise and work with you to suggest what might be best for your business.

Now that I have my video, how can I use it

Good question, don't just think it has to just sit on your web site.

Who owns my final video

If you have come up with the concept for your video then once we have received final settlement payment you will own all of the intellectual rights apart from the music which will be granted for your production as a one off buyout.

If Titan have written your script and/or concept. You will have total use of the video to use as you wish. However, you may not resell the concept. If you do then you will relinquish any rights on that production and all of the intellectual rights will revert back to Titan Films.

Of course you may want to buy the intellectual rights, POA.

How is my finished video delivered

Your final video will be delivered to you within the agreed time frame and in a file format of your choice. We will upload the finished signed off via an FTP (Dropbox) for you to download.

Are graphics to be provided or produced by Titan

We always ask for your company logo, this needs to be supplied as a high-resolution file in any format.

 

Can I use my own music

Yes, if you have composed it and own the copyright.

We have access to many sound tracks and can both source and organise the copyright buy out for you.

You could use chart music but can cost multiple thousands to be released.

Choosing music for your video is very important and can make or break the final video.

When will my video be finished

This depends on the complexity of your video and how many days filming is required. The more days involved generally means more days editing.

A short talking head video can be turned around in a day whilst others can take anything from a week to several months.

If your video requires complex graphics then this too is time consuming.

We would agree on a delivery date and plan a schedule accordingly.

We would normally present you with a draft version (rough cut) for you to comment on and then if there are any final tweaks we make these and you will then see the final version.

Once you have signed this off we make and render your film for delivery.

How do you put my film together

Editing is the most vital stage of any production and so often the most overlooked.

The editing process sets the whole style, pace and tone of the video. It’s here where special effects can be added such as 3D graphics, CGI, voice, text, and lots more.

We use the latest industry standard Avid Media Composer digital editing suite. Your video will be edited to a ‘draft’ master for your approval before the final cut is produced.

It is vital to have your video planned out on paper (story board) and agreed before filming commences, this makes editing easier and cost effective.

Do you use special equipment

All of our equipment is full broadcast from lighting and sound which helps enhance the natural environment and creates the very best visuals for your video.

We have a range of ‘gadgets’ such as jibs mounted cameras, dolly & track, product turntables and much more.

This equipment adds even more visual impact to your video.

Can I do my own voice over

Yes of course you may, we also have a database of professional ‘voice over’ artists, so finding a voice to suit your video won’t be a problem. Recording them usually takes place in our studio sound booth.

In the “Getting You Started” Package you will be the person who does this voice over. We can of course upgrade the VO to a professional artist if you wish at an additional cost.

How important is the script

Not only are the visuals important, but so too is the scripting to ensure your message is delivered accurately, informatively and understood by the viewer.

You can write this yourself and we can help fine tune it, or you can use one of our experienced script writers for an additional cost.
